Hello, so I had a social event to attend and was racking my brains as to what to wear, was in no mood to create a glamourized look, at the same time it was a social gathering which requires me to be decently dressed in traditional outfit
Came to rescue my favorite maroon trousers. These are cotton trousers and I have used them for regular cotton tops to go grocery shopping or a fancy blouson for lunch date and even with a Bardot top at the beach.
Maroon for me is like silent glamour, it is dark but not as bright as Red. I paired my maroon trouser with a beige kurta, Red and green bandhani dupatta, with big earrings in gold, simple kajal and lipstick and juttis, all set for an understated yet chic look.
I recently styled a friend of mine for her first TEDx talk, and voila what is a she wearing :), maroon trouser, a darker beige kurta, and a traditional patola dupatta to complete the look.
Maroon trousers can be quiet versatile, from pairing it with light colours like beige, white , they can also be paired with dark colours like bottle green and black. Dont shy away from a colour just because its dark or light, find the right shade that works for you and have fun
